The 15th ASEAN-Australia-NZ dialogue (AANZ)
The Asialink team was in Malaysia from 3 to 5 October 2023, to co-host the 15th ASEAN-Australia-NZ dialogue (AANZ) with the Institute of Strategic & International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia and Asia New Zealand Foundation.
The dialogue stimulated insightful conversation among regional leaders and experts to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and the advancement of mutual interests in the region. This year, we explored topics such as strategic competition, trade, human security, climate action, technology, and cybersecurity in a half-day Next Gen capacity development workshop and a 1.5 day-dialogue with expert panellists.
Special appreciation to H.E. Will Nankervis, Australian Ambassador to ASEAN, and Mr. Simon Fellows, Acting High Commissioner to Malaysia, for their participation in this dialogue and for hosting us for dinner at the Australian High Commissioner's Residence.
The dialogue was jointly funded by the Australian High Commission to Malaysia and the New Zealand High Commission to New Zealand.
