Mr Edward Myer

Building on his experience and education, Edward Myer (Ed) is developing his entrepreneurial interests as an investor in, and executive of, emerging businesses.

Ed is the Acting CEO at Placie, a Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) business which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carsales.com Ltd (CAR-ASX). Placie aggregates private and public modes of transport into one app allowing consumers to book, ticket and pay for all modes of transport in the app. Ed is also the co-founder of The Next Co, a global network of Next-Generation family offices focusing on investment, education, collaboration and networking. Ed is also a Non-Executive director of Wallaby Downs Pty Ltd, a private investment company managing investments across various asset-classes and operating businesses.

Ed spent 7 years working in the Banking and Finance industry, most recently as a Business Development Manager at Pendal Group (formerly BT Investment Management), one of Australia’s leading Fund Management businesses with over $100bn under management across Asia, America and Europe.  Prior to this role, Ed spent 3 years in Hong Kong working for JP Morgan as an Associate in their Chief Investment Office and Treasury departments.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) form Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
