About this Event
On behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, we invite you to express your interest in attending “Malaysia Rising – A dynamic and trusted market for Australian business”.
Join Tony Lombardo, Australia’s Business Champion for Malaysia and Group CEO & Managing Director of Lendlease and Danielle Heinecke, Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, for an exclusive discussion on the growing opportunities in Malaysia’s economy.
As global markets face disruption and transformation, Malaysia is gaining fresh momentum — rising as a destination of choice for high-value investment, regional trade, and long-term partnerships. Strategically located in Southeast Asia, with a skilled, well-educated workforce, competitive operating costs, mature digital infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies, Malaysia is consolidating its position as a premier partner for businesses to enter and service the region.
The Malaysian Government has embarked on an ambitious program of economic reforms, designed to further boost its attractiveness as an investment destination and accelerate the country’s digital and energy transformation. Malaysia is leveraging major new investments in manufacturing, digital infrastructure and green energy to bolster its status as a hub for education, healthcare and professional services.
As Australia and Malaysia mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations and with Malaysia’s chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, Malaysia’s prominence will continue to rise.
Gain insights into emerging sectoral opportunities, the strategic advantages of Malaysia and access upcoming Australian Government-led initiatives.
