About the program
HarvestEd Victoria brings together students from across Victoria to explore the world of agriculture, sustainable food systems, and how innovation can address global challenges such as food waste and food security.
Target Audience: Victorian students in Years 7–9.

One Day Farming Enterprise Visit – Shepparton, VIC (Optional)
Wednesday 19th November, 10:00am–2:00pm
The Shepparton day is a collaboration between Goulburn Murray Landcare Network and Asialink Education, open to schools in the Shepparton area. Students will have the opportunity to visit 3–4 local farming enterprises to observe and experience the industry on the ground.

One Day Face-to-Face Conference – Dookie Campus, The University of Melbourne (Optional)

Each school is welcome to bring up to 15 students. If additional spots become available, we’ll let you know.

- Past, Present and Future Farming - Exploring agricultural industries past, present and the potential of the agricultural future in Victoria, Australia and the Asia-Pacific
- Connecting Communities - Hearing firsthand from agricultural professionals, experts and guests - students collaborate and reflect on the opportunities, insights, and problems worth tackling
- Harvesting Potential- Using design-thinking processes, teams generate ideas to problems or opportunities in agriculture that they have explored through the program, developing initial prototypes of solution-oriented ideas
- Seeding Change- Students will explore food security and ideate solutions for regional food security challenges.
