Australia-Pacific BRIDGE School Partnerships Program
On 21 March 2018, Foreign Minister, The Hon Julie Bishop MP, and Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells MP announced the inaugural Australia-Pacific BRIDGE School Partnership Program.
Building on the Asia Education Foundation's flagship Australia-Asia BRIDGE School Partnerships Program, over the next two years, the program will grow in include schools in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Nauru, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu.
Connecting Australian schools with their counter parts across the Pacific, the program will support collaborative, intercultural learning and facilitate exchanges between teachers on best practices in education. It will also support increased use of digital technology to link classrooms with resources and information from around the world.
