About Asialink Leaders Program

The Asialink Leaders Program is in its 22nd year and runs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane over nine months from March to November. It delivers the equivalent of three weeks' full-time learning in monthly sessions tailored to fit busy working lives

This unique program is the choice of a wide range of Australian organisations who want their key decision-makers to be Asia aware, Asia capable and Asia ready. The annual intake includes regular participants from Austrade and DFAT, major corporates such as Westpac, ANZ, NAB, Commonwealth Bank, PwC and BHP, law firms, state government departments, and leading universities, arts, media and community organisations. The alumni network now numbers more than 700

A key to the program's success is the diversity of its participants and the emphasis on peer learning. Professionals from all walks of life learn from experts while also sharing their own knowledge, expertise and experiences of Asia

The program is specifically designed to provide practical learnings and benefits to participants and their organisations. This includes:

  • Cross-cultural training and practical tips for working in Asia, and with Asian clients and colleagues
  • Seminars and discussion groups with experts from academia and business, with a focus on key trading partners China, India, Japan, Korea and Indonesia, as well as the other countries of ASEAN
  • Completion of an individual Workplace Project designed to deliver maximum and long-lasting benefit to each individual and their organisation
