Asialink proudly convened 'The Nuclear Risk Webinar Series', covering three webinars: 'Nuclear risks in the Indo-Pacific', 'Reducing nuclear risks: Envisioning a regional strategy' and 'Emerging nuclear risks: Confrontation and deterrence in Asia and the Pacific' held from September to November 2023. 

Featuring experts in the field, the webinars shed light on critical aspects of the nuclear security landscape in the Asia-Pacific while exploring opportunities for Australian nuclear diplomacy. 

The series concluded on 6 November 2023, with 'Reducing nuclear risks: Envisioning a regional strategy'. The webinar explored strategic opportunities for Australia’s engagement in mitigating nuclear risks, featuring discussions with Graeme Dobell, Senior Fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Dr. Marianne Hanson, Honorary Professor of International Relations at the University of Queensland, Australia, and Co-Chair of ICAN Australia, Professor Andrew O’Neil, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Law and Business at the Australian Catholic University, and Dr. Benjamin Zala, Fellow/Senior Lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Australian National University.
