Join us at the 2018 annual Asialink and Asialink Business Chairman's Welcome dinner

With a keynote address by
John Wylie AM. Chair, Australian Sports Commission
on:
Sports Diplomacy: The global opportunity

The dinner will also feature an 'in conversation' with:
Gabrielle Trainor AO, Commissioner, Australian Football League
Michael Kasprowicz, Board Member, Cricket Australia
Ann Sherry AO, Director, Rugby Australia

Sports and sports diplomacy represent a growing industry worldwide, and the focus of this growth firmly on Asia. The market for quality sports brands is expanding as more middle class consumers in Asia seek fit and active lifestyles. Globally, consumers are spending their discretionary income on experiences and the economic benefits flowing from both traditional events like the Olympics, and up and coming elite sports, are continuing to grow.

Yet the opportunities this presents is not without challenges. Global competition is intense. Businesses looking to succeed need to build a global strategy with Asia at its core, not simply an Asia strategy.

John Wylie AM will discuss what this means for Australian businesses. This forum will explore how businesses can leverage the invaluable exposure and goodwill generated by sport, together with Australia’s strong links into Asia, to enhance and promote the Australian brand and forge lasting and mutually rewarding partnerships.
