About ROUNDTABLE X 4A

ROUNDTABLE X 4A is a series of discussions, interviews, presentations and performances hosted by 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. This dynamic program will focus on artistic and curatorial practices from across Asia and the Pacific, in particular highlighting the work of 4A and other non-profit organisations in supporting and developing new discourses and conversations. Roundtable breaks down the stigma around contemporary art by inviting guests to join the 4A team at their communal table to participate or simply listen to their extensive program. Learn more about what it takes to commission new artworks, hear experiences of artists participating in residencies abroad, or watch new performance artworks by some of Australia’s leading practitioners. Roundtable will feature new performances by artists Frances Barrett, Abdullah M.I. Syed and Latai Taumoepea, each of which reflect on the context of the contemporary art fair in Asia. 4A will also be exhibiting work by FX Harsono, Owen Leong, Vipoo Srivilasa, Jae Hoon Lee, Vernon Ah Kee, Jason Wing and Ming Wong.

4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art is a non-profit organisation established in 1996 in Sydney to present and promote the work of Asian and Asian-Australian artists. 4A has a distinctive approach to addressing Australia’s cultural diversity through a dynamic program including local and international exhibitions, public programs, workshops, seminars, symposiums and community activities.
