#ASEANinAus:  The next steps in seizing the digital opportunity
Following the landmark ASEAN-Australia Summit in March, the opportunities for Australian organisations to partner and connect with businesses and consumers across Southeast Asia have reached a new high. The rise in digitally-based ‘sunrise industries’ is at the forefront of these changes: A new report by the CSIRO Data 61 identifies 7 transformative industries that are ripe for collaboration: Ranging from artificial Intelligence, to financial and regulatory services technology, nutrition, energy storage and distribution, cyber-security, personal health and ageing and digital infrastructure and connectivity, these emerging industries all play to Australia’s strengths and existing reputation. Drawing on practical case studies and expert insights, these national pop-up forums will explore how sunrise industries are transforming Southeast Asia’s economic, consumer and social landscapes and how Australian organisations and innovators can connect into the region’s rapidly evolving and dynamic digital architecture.
