Asialink Business in collaboration with the City of Sydney are delighted to present an expert panel focussing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Asia, focussing on opportunities in the key markets of China, India and Singapore.

The AI market in the Asia Pacific was estimated at around $620 million in 2017, with Asia soon overtaking the US as the biggest hub of innovation centres due to a strong growth rate. There is extensive government support available in these Asian markets, and availability of resources and quality of talent have seen them grow into powerhouses for AI and Innovation. The Chinese central government is building a domestic industry worth over $200 billion spanning sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and public services, with China expected to overtake US in AI by 2025. India and Singapore both have national approaches on AI with governments providing greater support to bolster research and development.

Expert panellists will provide an indepth overview on:

  • Global overview of the AI landscape, focusing on Asia as the future growth engine;
  • Key trends and factors influencing growth in AI in China, India and Singapore;
  • Relevant sectors and types of AI applications utilised across these markets;
  • Key government policies and initiatives supporting AI development and adoption; and
  • Leading local and international companies investing in AI in Asia.
