Jasmin Wing-Yin Leung / 梁詠然 is an Australian composer and Erhu player. She works within concert and installation settings, investigating the possibilities of intimate sonic spaces, improvisation and noise. Leung studied composition at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana, and has attended a variety of masterclasses for both old and new music in Europe and China. She will use this opportunity to research and develop new work for the Erhu as well as inform her “Third Culture” performance practice.
