Anna McMahon and Shujiro Murayama each explore themes of natural and built environments within their practice. This exchange provides an opportunity to develop their work in a new context.

Asialink Arts, through its Global Project Space initiative facilitates visual arts exchange between Japan and Australia in partnership with BigCi (NSW), 3331 Arts Chiyoda and Move Arts Japan.

Anna McMahon (NSW) will undertake a two-part residency program where she will spend four weeks travelling throughout Japan, staying at selected Move Arts Japan residency spaces, followed by four weeks at 3331 Arts Chiyoda. Shujiro Murayama (Japan) will spend seven weeks at BigCi located in Bilpin, the Blue Mountains, NSW.
