Tess Maunder 'Absolute Humidity' Book Launch in conjunction with Melbourne Art Fair

Absolute Humidity aims to re-position conversations about the climate, weather and the environment by placing artist’s voices at the centre of the discussion. The limited edition hardback publication focuses on contemporary artists from the Asia-Pacific region, including over thirty contributions. The volume is edited by 2017 Asialink Arts Creative Exchange Alumni Tess Maunder and published by Hardworking Good looking (Manila / New York). This publication has been supported by Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Queensland and Asialink.

Tess Maunder works as a curator, writer and researcher. In 2017 she was a Curatorial Collegiate for the 11th Shanghai Biennale, at the Power Station of Art, Shanghai, China. She was awarded the 2016 MPavilion/Art Monthly Australasia Writing Award. She has participated in: Para Site’s workshop for professionals (2016) in Hong Kong, The Australia India Youth Dialogue (2016) in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mohali, the 5th Gwangju Biennale International Curator Course with Maria Lind (2013) in Gwangju and an Independent Curator’s International (ICI) Course Mori Art Museum (2013), Tokyo. Prior to 2016 Maunder worked at the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane.
