Sally Murphy is an author of children's books, a poet, in addition to writing book reviews. Her three verse novels for younger readers have won multiple awards. In 2017 Sally completed her doctoral thesis exploring belonging in and for children's poetry. While in Vietnam her creative exchange built on these experiences by exploring, in a verse novel for children, what it means to search for belonging in a foreign land.
