Internships at Asialink

Internships at Asialink give university students the chance to contribute to Australia's national centre for engagement with Asia while gaining academic credit towards your studies.

Past interns have supported work in capability development, diplomacy, communications, advisory, education and arts programs.

Eligibility

Internships are open to students enrolled at Australian universities and are arranged through a formal agreement between Asialink, the host university and the student.

All internships are unpaid and undertaken for academic credit. We do not offer secondary school work experience placements.

We welcome applications from students at universities outside Melbourne, but we're not able to support accommodation or living costs for interstate interns.

Timing and intake

Internship timing generally follows the host university's requirements. Intake numbers are limited and vary depending on current projects and team capacity.
