The Susan Gin Asialink Leaders Fellowship – for Leaders in Regional/Rural Australia

The Susan Gin Fellowship is a unique opportunity for a leader based in regional and rural Australia to join the Asialink Leaders Program, a transformational experience for leaders from any sector -  Arts and creative industries, business, government, and not-for-profit. The Program provides an unparallel professional development opportunity, allowing the recipients to grow their Asia capabilities, expand their network and positively impact their organisations and sector’s engagement with Asia.

Regional Australia is key to building our country’s connections with Asia. Equally, Asia is key to Australia’s regionalisation – delivering on the potential of regional and rural Australia. Across sectors, there is tremendous opportunity for reciprocal relationships, between communities and regions in Australia and Asia. The Susan Gin fellowship aims to contribute to bridging the gap between urban and regional/rural engagement with Asia, through offering this place in the Asialink Leaders Program to an outstanding individual.

Eligibility

The fellowship will be awarded to an applicant based in regional or rural Australia, with abilities and ambitions related to Asia engagement. The terms ‘regional and rural’ refers to everything beyond the major capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra.

The fellowship covers the full Program fee of $11,900 +GST.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that their participation on the program will positively impact their organisation, sector and regional/rural Australia’s engagement with Asia, and that they would not be able to attend the program without the support of a Fellowship.
