Mr Dorjee Sun
Finishing at his beloved North Sydney Boys High, Dorjee matriculated into Com/Law at UNSW in 1995. In the tumultuous confusion of 2nd year law he received a scholarship to study at Peking University (PKU), Beijing/China and left his unchallenged existence working at DKNY and pseudo-studying “the art of studying without studying” (adapted from Bruce Lee’s “art of fighting without fighting” Enter the Dragon).
Decanting from the plane he was swept up in the bosom of the land of dumplings, rice and billions of people. Unbeknownst to him- and his parents, he would not return to his much loved Sydney for 2 years after backpacking and boogieing through 3 semesters of Chinese, 1 semester of law, work in Austrade as a tofu smuggler and all the sino-clichés imaginable. Upon returning Dorjee knelt and kissed the tarmac, salty tears coursed down his roast duck eating cheeks and he vowed never to leave Australia for so long again.
UNSW: Completed Dip.Asian Studies (Mandarin)/ Bachelor Law/ Bachelor Commerce but is still a Bachelor. Dorjee was elected a President of the UNSW law society, sits on various boards and is Youth Chairperson of the Ethnic Communities Council.
He has worked in night clubs, law firms (same thing), in management consulting, then co-founded a software company called cvMail which in 18 months just opened its UK office. Dorjee Livingston Seagull Sun is still learning to fly.
