Asialink Business, the Australia Indonesia Business Council and Herbert Smith Freehills are delighted to invite you to attend

State of the Nation: Indonesia
Indonesia is the world’s third-largest democracy and the largest economy in Southeast Asia. In recent years, Indonesia’s gross domestic product (GDP) has been growing at more than five percent annually on the back of a stable democratic government, open trade and investment policies, increasing domestic consumption, abundant natural resources and a growing skilled workforce.

Profound changes in Indonesia’s economy and society in recent decades have combined to make it an increasingly attractive destination for foreign businesses. And Australia, as a close regional neighbour, is well positioned to take advantage.

Date: Tuesday 2nd May, 2017
Time: 5.15pm arrival for a 5.30pm sharp start, concluding at 7.30pm
Venue: Herbert Smith Freehills, 42/101 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000

The expert panelists will address the concerns about corruption and bureaucracy in Indonesia and how Australian businesses can succeed in this environment. This event will also touch on the IA-CEPA negotiations as well as provide case studies into Australian businesses currently engaged with Indonesia.
