Asialink

Position: Communications Intern

Australia-Asia NGO seeking Communications Intern

Asialink is seeking a communications intern for the period March - June 2012.

Asialink is a non-academic department of the University of Melbourne that focuses on building knowledge and connections between Australia and Asia. The organisation has a diverse set of public programs, and has previously hosted policy addresses by Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Working as part of a small communications team, the intern will be responsible for reporting on selected events across Melbourne. This unpaid position requires a commitment of around 10 hours per week, subject to the calendar of events – with work hours occasionally after 6pm.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a communications or media student looking for experience using professional equipment in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
