Position: Chief Educator
A key focus of the Asia Education Foundation is its work to support schools in the implementation of the Asia and Australia's Engagement with Asia cross-curricular priority of the Australian Curriculum, including student intercultural understanding, general capability and languages education. To this end, the AEF has produced a suite of professional learning programs aimed at assisting teachers and school leaders to incorporate Asia capability and global competence into their curriculum delivery. The Chief Educator is responsible for developing and delivering the AEF's professional learning programs including marketing these to the education sectors in each State & Territory. The Chief Educator also has a significant leadership role with external bodies and stakeholders, particularly schools, education systems, universities and teacher professional associations. The Chief Educator is integral in driving new revenue growth to support the financial success of the AEF through engagement with business and philanthropic bodies. The Chief Educator works under the broad direction of the Executive Director, AEF. Performance is measured against the quality of the core business functions and against the achievement of targets identified in the Strategic Plan approved by the AEF Advisory Board.
